I'm using the HTMLWeb object to login to a https site using CONNECT e.g the request header is

I'm generating it through the Load ("", "CONNECT");

 I'm getting a BadResponse from it. However, if I run Fiddler to capture the output, it goes through fine. What I notice is Fiddler is generating a certificate dynamically in the Personal folder when it is capturing output. How should I do it without Fiddler?

I have set the certificate like so

ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = delegate (object sender, X509Certificate certificate, X509Chain chain, SslPolicyErrors sslPolicyErrors)
   return true;

Ok, found the answer. It is so simple. I should be using GET. not CONNECT. The webrequest will set the CONNECT itself.
